Why Brass Utensils Need Special Care
Brass utensils are heirloom-quality pieces that can last generations with proper maintenance. Brass (copper + zinc) naturally develops patina over time which many love, but you can restore shine with simple home methods.
Lemon & Salt Method
- Cut a lemon in half and dip it in table salt.
- Rub gently on brass surfaces in circular motion.
- Let it rest for 5–10 minutes, rinse with warm water, and dry completely.
Vinegar, Salt & Flour Paste
- Mix equal parts white vinegar, salt, and flour into a paste.
- Apply to the utensil and leave for 1–2 hours.
- Rinse and buff dry with a soft cloth.
Avoid harsh abrasives that can scratch the surface.
